Chapter 15

Playlist Live brought with it the end of September and the start of the busy month of October. Cameron had several appearances scheduled on the west coast, short overnight trips that took him to places ranging from Seattle and Portland in the north, to Sacramento and San Diego in the south. Wiley resumed his training schedule with Benji and was presented with a unique photography opportunity.

When he returned from Playlist Live, Wiley processed all the pictures he’d taken and, true to his word, he emailed the shots from the concert to the band’s manager, Tim. Tim was so impressed with the work Wiley had done that he called and asked him to fly out for a couple of concerts the band was doing in Las Vegas, Salt Lake City and Denver to shoot publicity photos. The management company had big plans for the Demons of the Crossroads and would need good, high resolution photos for press kits and their website.

Wiley jumped at the opportunity, but with him and Cameron both committed to separate travel obligations they spent more time apart than they would have liked. They were in and out of LA all month, but Wiley made sure he was home in time for Halloween. A Plus Studios, who had a number of projects underway with various YouTube stars, was hosting a big Halloween bash, and Cameron was really looking forward to it. He loved Halloween and couldn’t wait to see Wiley in his costume.

Wiley’s flight from Denver touched down in LA the day before Halloween at 4pm. Because he’d only been gone for a couple of days this time he’d left his car at the airport. As soon as he pulled out of the short term parking garage he called Cameron and put him on speaker.

“Just land?” Cameron when he answered.

“Yeap, I’m on my way over to your place now,” Wiley confirmed.

“Great, I missed you so much,” said Cameron.

“Likewise, see you in a bit.”

He arrived at Cameron’s apartment twenty minutes later, and after hugs and kisses were exchanged the first order of business was food. Wiley skipped lunch in order to catch his flight and the airline didn’t even serve peanuts—he was starving.

“So, where do you want to go?” asked Wiley.

“How about the mall? We can grab something in the food court,” said Cameron.

“I was thinking something a bit more substantial,” Wiley grimaced. Like most athletes he took his diet seriously and was not a big fan of fast food.

“Ok, we can go somewhere else,” said Cameron, “but I still want to stop by the mall afterwards.”

“Sure, did you need something?”

“Yeah I’ve gotta replace all my underwear,” said Cameron.

“What?”

“It’s the funniest thing,” said Cameron. “I was doing laundry last night, but it got late so the last load, when it was done I stuck it in the dryer and left it overnight. When I went out to get it this morning, all my boxers were gone.”

“Who the hell would steal your underwear?”

“No idea, but this close to UCLA, it’s probably a sorority prank or something,” said Cameron.

“Really?” Wiley asked incredulously.

“You did your degree online; you never got the chance to experience the dumb shit the Greeks do,” said Cameron.

“Alright, if you’re not worried about it I guess I’m not either.”

“Anyway, you promised me food and shopping. Let’s hit the road.” Cameron grinned then grabbed Wiley’s arm and dragged him out to the car.

They ended up at the Border Grill. Mexican food was one of Wiley’s favorites but he never indulged much because it was so fattening. The Border Grill, however, was lard free, which significantly lowered the calorie count and didn’t make him feel guilty when he stuffed himself.

After dinner they drove down to the Westfield Mall in neighboring Culver City. Cameron was a big fan of American Eagle boxers and he was heading there when Wiley nudged him into Macy’s instead.

“Wiley,” Cameron giggled, “What are you doing? American Eagle is down that way.”

“I know, but I was thinking. We have a unique opportunity here,” said Wiley.

“For what?”

“To maybe um, see what you’d look like in something else.” He blushed.

“You don’t like my boxers?” Cameron stuck out his bottom lip, feigning a pout. He was quite fond of his underpants. They were all bright colors and cute patterns; he was pretty adorable in them.

“Sure I do,” Wiley blushed. “I just thought it might be kinda fun to see you in something…tighter.”

“Oh, you want to stick me in a pair of tighty whities?” Cameron teased.

“They don’t have to be white,” Wiley continued to blush.

“Ok, I’m up for something different, but why this store? They have boxer-briefs and stuff at AE.”

“They don’t have Calvin Klein at AE,” Wiley explained.

“Ohhhh Calvin Klein, sexy,” Cameron teased.

“Everyone looks good in Calvin Klein.” Wiley grinned.

“Uh huh, I’ve seen that look on your face before. Something tells me I’m getting boned tonight.” Cameron laughed.

“Cam,” Wiley exclaimed. “You are so bad!”

“Oh don’t be such an old woman.” Cameron grinned and moved close so he could whisper in Wiley’s ear, “I like that you like fucking me. It makes me feel sexy.”

“You feel sexy because you are sexy, but I’ve always thought of what we do as making love,” said Wiley.

“Sure, because we’re in love, but don’t you ever just want to fuck? Don’t you ever get so horny that you just have to…”

“I get it, I see your point,” Wiley giggled. “And you’re right, there are moments when I look at you and just…anyway, maybe we should get you a jock strap too.”

“Why?”

“You know, easy access.”

“Oh, and I’m bad?” Cameron exclaimed.

The boys were giggling like a pair of school girls when they reached the Calvin Klein section and Cameron selected a few pairs of briefs in different colors to wet Wiley’s appetite. After that they went into American Eagle to replace Cameron’s boxers and then went home.

“Make yourself comfortable while I go try a pair of these on,” said Cameron, holding up the Macy’s bag.

While Cameron went into the bathroom to change, Wiley hurriedly stripped down to his blue Calvin Klein boxer-briefs and stretched out on the bed. A moment later, Cameron emerged from the bathroom in a pair of white briefs with a red waistband.

“Well, what do you think?” he smiled and turned around for his boyfriend.

“You look pretty good, but I won’t know if I like them until I get to feel them.” Wiley grinned.

Cameron walked over to the bed and straddled his boyfriend. He took Wiley’s hands in his and guided them to his backside. Wiley squeezed his buns and kneaded the tender flesh through the soft cotton.

“So, what do you think now?”

“I think you were right,” said Wiley.

“About what?” asked Cameron with a raised eyebrow.

“About getting boned tonight.” Wiley snickered.

The next morning, Wiley woke early as was his custom and padded out to the kitchen in his pajama bottoms to make coffee. He went out and picked up the LA Times from the front step, poured himself a cup of coffee and sat down on the couch to read the paper. After a while, Cameron padded into the kitchen for a cup of his own then joined him on the couch.

“Morning,” said Wiley, kissing him on the forehead.

“Hey.” Cameron smiled. “You were great last night.”

“Oh shut up,” Wiley giggled.

“Seriously, if I would have known changing the style of my undies was going to rev your engine like that, I’d have switched months ago,” said Cameron as he leaned in to peck Wiley on the lips.

“Whatever, goober,” said Wiley then he put his arm around his boyfriend and held him close. “Do we need costumes for tonight? We could go shopping…”

“Way ahead of you,” said Cameron. “I picked up our outfits yesterday before you got home.”

“Oh, what are we going as?”

“It’s better if I show you,” said Cameron as he jumped up and ran to his room. He was back in a flash and held up the two costumes on hangers for Wiley to see. “Ta Da!”

“Batman and Robin? Seriously?”

“What did I tell you when we first met?”

“Lots of stuff,” said Wiley, “did you want something specific?”

“I told you,” said Cameron, rolling his eyes, “That I was a big comic book nerd when I was a kid. Superheros make great costumes, and with that body of yours, Mr. Professional Athlete, oh baby.”

“Well, I guess you would make a pretty cute Robin,” Wiley conceded.

“Yeah, um, about that, they didn’t have Batman in your size so you’re Robin.”

“What?”

“Come on, you’ll be so cute,” Cameron pleaded.

“No fair, you know I can’t say no to you.”

“All is fair in love and war.” Cameron grinned.

“Especially when you always get your way,” Wiley teased.

After finishing with the paper, Wiley got dressed and met Benji at the club for their morning workout. Cameron had some editing work to do on his latest video and then they spent the afternoon lounging around the house. After dinner they started getting ready for the party.

“No freaking way,” Wiley exclaimed when he stepped out of the bathroom in his Robin costume.

“Awwww, baby, you look so cute,” Cameron cooed.

“Cam, I can’t go out like this!”

“Why not?”

“I’m in my underwear,” Wiley exclaimed.

The Robin costume Cameron had picked out was the original model with the short red tunic and a pair of all too brief green briefs.

“Relax, the party’s in West Hollywood. If you were dressed any more conservatively people would think you were a Mormon missionary.” Cameron laughed.

“That’s easy for you to say, your costume covers everything.”

“Yeah but it’s just as tight. Come on, it’ll be fine.”

The guys stepped out into the living room, where Bobby was waiting for them, Tucker having already gone to pick up his girlfriend, Nina.

“Damn, Coyote, pull that cape closed or you’re bound to give some old queen a heart attack,” said Bobby with a wolf whistle.

“I’m not going,” said Wiley, turning to go back to the room.

“Yes, you are. He’s full of shit,” said Cameron as he grabbed Wiley’s hand and pulled him along. Then he turned to Bobby. “You shut up, whore.”

“Hey, I was just trying to compliment the man,” said Bobby.

“He’s being self-conscious about the costume. You’re not helping,” said Cameron.

“Why? He looks hot,” said Bobby.

“You know how modest he is. He puts on his pajama bottoms every morning just so you won’t see him getting coffee in his undies.” Cameron giggled.

“Um, guys, I’m right here,” said Wiley.

“Quiet, sweetie, grown-ups are talking,” said Bobby.

“Oh whatever, let’s go,” said Wiley to great bouts of laughter from his friends.

Once they arrived at the party Wiley enjoyed himself in spite of the skimpy costume. It wasn’t even that skimpy—Cameron had been correct in his assertion that the Robin costume was pretty conservative by West Hollywood standards. They spent the evening dancing and playing silly party games, like pin the tail on the donkey and bobbing for apples, with the YouTube crowd and made love when they got home that night. Despite his complaints, Wiley thought Cameron was particularly sexy in Batman’s cape and cowl.
